Firefox deletes downloaded files when clearing private data. This app is likely caching the thumbnails.
OS: Mac OS X → Android
Hardware: x86 → ARM

Usually Android restart is required or clearing the gallery cache fixes this. Typical Android.

Closing this as this is the expected behavior. We can't predict what apps will do when the files are removed.
