With bug 1057088 nearly ready we have the support we to add a simple end-to-end test for HWC and overdraw. These test will provide important sanity tests. They will catch blocker regression where it's impossible to run HWC or overdraw regressions. Since they will be tested in the UI-Test app which is close to a trivial app in terms of layout it will likely catch platform regressions or regressions in the system app.

Alright I was planning on using a python uitest driver to set chrome privilege but I'm told we're porting over to js tests now. #fxos-automation told me to ask kgrandon or hub. Can you point me at documentation and a sample test that can access chrome privilege like DOMWindowUtils? I'd like to get the test working for the sample pages I added and then later we can add them for the Camera and Homescreen.

Benoit, the js porting is not going rapidly. If you still want this test with any reasonable-ish priority, just do it in the Python for now and we'll port it later. r? myself or other fxos-automation colleagues.
