Reproducible on the latest Nightly 34.0a1(BuildID: 20140901091008)
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0
Steps to reproduce:
1. Make sure that Firefox is not your default browser.
2. Launch Firefox.
3. Click on the "Use Firefox as my default browser" button from the notification bar.
" It would be pretty nice if the button "Use Firefox as my default browser" got replaced by some kind of confirmation text once user clicks on it, and then after some delay (like 2 seconds) the notification panel closes. This would be helpful especially if the user account isn't an admin, and Firefox has to ask for elevated privileges to perform the action "

Tested on Windows 10, Ubuntu 22 and on macOS 12 using Firefox 128.0b8, when Firefox is set as the default or primary browser on the settings page right before the message "Firefox is currently your default browser" an emoji with smile (grinning) appears, setting another browser as default the emoji changes to white_frowning_face and the message changes to "Firefox is not your default browser".
I will close this enhancement as WORKSFORME.
