The property dialog in Outlook Express
In Outlook Express you have the ability to delete the "local file" if you
rightclick on a IMAP folder. Why not have the possibility to delete the msf file
in Mozilla for the current folder.
It could be a tab in the properties dialog when you right click on a folder.

[General Info] [Offline] [*Local file*]
INBOX.msf : The file is valid
size : 10Kb
[ delete ] This will delete the summary file for the folder INBOX

seems like a fine thing to me, but this is a front end issue, not a
backend/database issue (all the work to do this would be in the front end).
