I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. The app languafe does not change based on the language of the device. Would it be possible to change the language of the app depending on the language of the device?
Per Facebook’s req: Open bugs should be forwarded to Fb’s new internal bug tracking system. Following their guidelines, all current unassigned bugs will be placed into a single spreadsheet and sent over to Fb’s new system. Michael Ellis will be the assignee for these bugs and will update each as feedback is received from Fb.

Feedback from Facebook: User must manually change language in app. "You need to change the language by tapping on left nav-> Scrolling down till the end -> Tap on “English” link and change the language." We will note this issue among other "like to have" features for suggesting to FB for implementation at a later time. Closing Bug
