Details
Now that the conservative stack scanner is gone, the only thing requests are doing is firing the activity callback. We need to make AutoJSAPI fire this directly, make the CTypes activity callback do this (or figure out if it is defunct, doesn't seem to have any callers by a quick inspection), and then investigate the long tail of JSAutoRequests littered throughout the source. Most of these last can probably go away if they are over short enough fragments that they are not going to trigger the watchdog.
Then requests will be doing nothing and can go.

That is indeed the bug I was looking for! As usual, the fastest way to search in bugzilla is to file a new bug and wait for someone to dup it. ;-)
