Bug 972017 is going to be allowing outgoing calls from the desktop. To do that, I think it makes sense to look at the existing standalone specific views, and see what parts we can share with the desktop.

I think for the places it is sensible to, we've already done this (or will do in bug 1088672). Although it'd be nice to have some more common views, in reality, the standalone versus desktop are quite different, and it doesn't make so much sense.
