I can confirm this isn't working on Firefox 36 in Nightly. The addon installs, and the context menu does show "Save to Pinboard", or "Read Later on Pinboard", but nothing happens, when normally a popup window should appear. I'm also not seeing a new tab open.

The developer has been notified through AMO. Note this add-on hasn't been updated in over 3 years.

I asked the @pinboard account on twitter if they have any plans on getting this extension to work on Nightly e10s. They mentioned that their stance is to only support vanilla FX but will take a look next time around.
BTW, I quickly downloaded the extension and it looks like "Save to Pinboard" and "Read Later" are working. The bookmarks are being added into my pinboard account but all the popup windows are being left behind once the user creates the bookmark. "Save Tab Set" looks like it's working as well.

I have no pinboard account. Anyone willing to give it a test? If they still say about vanilla FX, give them the schedule: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis#Schedule

Downloaded the latest pinboard extension from the following location: (same version available under AMO)
- add-on used: https://pinboard.in/extensions/firefox/pinboardff.xpi
- m-c used: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2015-07-27-03-02-16-mozilla-central/
Test Cases:
==========-
* Save to Pinboard - Working with one issue
** other than leaving the window behind, everything works correctly
* Read Later - Working with one issue
** other than leaving the window behind, everything works correctly
* Save tab set - Working
** saved all the currently saved links/windows into a tab set
* Unread bookmarks - Working
** opened a new tab that correctly displayed all my "unread" bookmarks
* All bookmarks - Working
** opened a new tab that correctly displayed all my saved bookmarks
* Network (don't use this function)
** don't use this function so not sure if it's working or not
* Tab sets - Working
** working correctly.. saved, opened and deleted several tab sets
Issues:
=======
- saving bookmarks via "Save to Pinboard" will leave a white window behind which requires the user to manually close the window (issue1.jpg)
- saving bookmarks via "Read Only" will leave a white window behind which requires the user to manually close the window (issue2.jpg)
Other than the two problems listed above, it seems like the add-on is generally working. I guess someone can tweet/email the developer once e10s makes it into the m-b and gets closer to the m-r merge. However from the looks of the schedule, there's still no date currently set.

With Firefox 57 only WebExtensions are permitted and are, by default, e10s compatible.
