When scrolling the homescreen slowly with a touch and drag up, the animation for the statusbar background turning from black to red feels reasonable but when I fling the screen to get back to the top, the animation happens well after I've hit the top of the screen and makes the effect feel slow.

Can we adjust the transition from black to red to be faster if the user did a fling to top of screen scroll gesture?
Mass update: Resolve wontfix all issues with legacy homescreens.

As of 2.6 we have a new homescreen and having these issues open is confusing. All issues will block bug 1231115 so we can use that to re-visit any of these if needed.
