Details

(Keywords: ux-efficiency, ux-interruption)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0
Build ID: 20140916030204

Steps to reproduce:

Entering a private network address in the address bar sends the user to google.com, with dialogue message "Did you mean to go to <ip address>" with options "Yes take me to <ip address>" and "No thanks".

Is this intentional, or did we break something? Could be a UX headache.
OS: Mac OS X → All
Hardware: x86 → All
Summary: Private addresses entered in address bar takes user google. → Private addresses entered in address bar takes user to google.
What's the form of the IP? Could you post a fake IP with the same result?
based on the symptoms I'm pretty sure that this is a dupe of bug 1067168
