We are already using JB Flame's Gecko/Gaia builds for OPENC.
Maybe we can also deliver then on the nightly OTA channels ?
James, this seems like a good opportunity to teach you or someone from your team about some parts of Balrog.

Am I understanding correctly that the Flame and OpenC use the exact same Gecko+Gaia bits?
Any update on this?

I installed the last 2.0-flame (not kk) image on my ZTE Open C, from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/latest-mozilla-b2g32_v2_0-flame/
It seems to work well.

Unfortunately, the build dates from october 8, and has not been updated since.
If I understood correctly, the Flame has switched to KitKat version : http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/latest-mozilla-b2g32_v2_0-flame-kk/ , which is updated daily.
And I was told that the ZTE Open C was not compatible with this kk branch.

So yes, having a nightly build for the ZTE Open C would be really helpful
There is a B2G 2.0 KitKat based full build for the Open C on modaco.com forums, by KonstaT :

http://www.modaco.com/topic/373261-devrom511-caf-firefox-os-b2g-for-zte-open-c-kis-3/

Runs well, but updating B2G to 2.1 or 2.2 via shallow flash (flame-kk files) did not work last time I tried (error while booting gecko)

See error log

we doesn't have update JB build for flame now since Firefox os reference is now KK

For info, french community made update build for ZTE Open C FR and EU : http://builds.firefoxos.mozfr.org
