I think we shouldn't make a sound when we show the missed call notification. The two scenarios I can think of for missing a call are: - I didn't hear the phone ring. If I didn't, I'm not gonna hear the notification either. - I actually silenced the call because that would disturb my environment. In that case I really don't want to hear a sound after that.
Carrie: What's your take on this?

Hi Anthony, I think the notification of missed call is go with other general notification. So if the phone isn't mute, the device will make a sound while dropping down a notification no matter it's a missed call or message, but if you silence the device, all the notification will not appear with a sound. I think it makes sense to me. What do you say? Thanks!

I think this is a special case notification. For most notifications, you need the vibration/ringing because this is the only thing that's happening when you get it. For missed calls, the notification comes just after a long vibration/ringing. There is another event that was notified before we displayed this notification. I'm trying to help with the case where you forget to silence your phone. It's been really annoying for me to get this notification. I'm annoying people next to me for no reason. I checked and both iOS and Android do not make a sound for this case.

Hi Anthony, Yes, then I agree with you. What we can do here is treating missed call notification as a special case. We will never play the audio sound for it no matter the device is mute or not. So the change can be in 2.2? Thanks!
