User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD amd64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 SeaMonkey/2.29
Build ID: 20140920011625

Steps to reproduce:

I had been using the Reddit Enhancement Suite adon (available at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/reddit-enhancement-suite/ ), which is powered by the JetPack/SDK, with Seamonkey since version 2.23 with only a very minor tweak to ensure compatibility. The tweak is documented at http://www.reddit.com/r/seamonkey/comments/1xuaqg/res_in_seamonkey/chqynrk and would successfully make RES work with Seamonkey. Then I updated to Seamonkey 2.29, where it stopped working.

Actual results:

The RES stopped work as of Seamonkey 2.29, and now brings up the error listed below in the Error Console

"Timestamp: 24/09/2014 19:17:12
Error: this._contentWorker is null
Source File: resource://gre/modules/addons/XPIProvider.jsm -> jar:file:///home/david/.mozilla/seamonkey/u8iqp57i.default/extensions/jid1-xUfzOsOFlzSOXg@jetpack.xpi!/bootstrap.js -> resource://jid1-xufzosoflzsoxg-at-jetpack/addon-sdk/lib/toolkit/loader.js -> resource://jid1-xufzosoflzsoxg-at-jetpack/addon-sdk/lib/sdk/content/worker.js
Line: 541"

This appears to be the only pertinent error.

Expected results:

The RES addon should have worked, as it has not been changed since the update to Seamonkey 2.29.

What version of the RES are you using? The latest is Version 4.5.0.2

I used 4.5.0.2. I also tried 4.3.12 (older version) which similarly did not work.

Your best bet is to talk to the authors of the RES addon and ask them to officially support SeaMonkey.
I can confirm that this is also an issue on Windows as well. Not sure about OS X but will check with my Yosemite VM.
I found that somebody on r/SeaMonkey hacked RES for SeaMonkey if anyone wants it: https://www.reddit.com/r/seamonkey/comments/32ioj9/latest_res_for_seamonkey/
