I'm not sure if this is a bug - perhaps it is the correct behaviour. Should you be allowed to apply display:none to any element in a page? Can;t find a dupe anyway. Anyway, changing the style property 'display' of a <label> tag to 'none' doesn't seem to work. I'll attach a testcase in a moment. I'm using build 2001103003 on Win2k.

Btw, the testcase works as expected in IE6: The input box is displayed without its label.
This is a consequence of the workaround patch applied in bug 100801. You can use !important on that display value to force it to work.... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 100801 ***
