Interrupted update (downloading SeaMonkey) is confusing

Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 SeaMonkey/2.29.1
Build ID: 20140923221838
Steps to reproduce:
1. I opened SeaMonkey 2.26 under Windows 7. The home page said version 2.29 is available.
2. I opened the Help menu and chose "Check for Updates...". Version 2.29 started to download.
3. I had to cancel the download and close Sea Monkey.
4. When I came back a few minutes later, I restarted Sea Monkey and opened the Help Menu. Something like "Downloading Sea Monkey 2.29.1..." appeared in place of "Check for updates...".
5. So I waited. And waited. There was no indication that anything was happening. (A green progress bar gradually filling the "Downloading..." menu space, or something like "(52%)", would have been nice!)
6. I opened Windows Task Manager and found no network activity.
7. I searched for Bugs. Nothing.
8. In desperation, I tried clicking on the "Downloading..." menu entry. The Network monitor showed activity beginning, and a dialog opened to show the progress of the download.
9. The download completed, and Sea Monkey was updated to 2.29
Actual results:
See above
Expected results:
The menu item is misleading after a downloading Sea Monkey update has been interrupted. At the very least, instead of "Downloading...", the menu item should say something like "Resume Downloading Update" or "Continue updating...". (To me, the "Downloading..." implies that the download is happening that instant.)
It would also be nice to add a help item or knowledge database entry explaining how to interrupt a downloading Sea Monkey update and how to resume it. Or, better, when you click on the Red X to cancel the update, the user could be asked "are you sure you want to postpone the update?" -- and, if the user agrees, tell them how to resume the update. (This is not obvious to a casual Sea Monkey user, folks.)
Thanks.
