Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 SeaMonkey/2.29.1 Build ID: 20140923221706 Steps to reproduce: I was using old "4x3 boxes" sync. I tried to set up sync in Firefox Nightly (35.0a1), it said I should use new sync, and the helpful page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-update-to-the-new-firefox-sync?as=u&utm_source=inproduct took me through conversion. The steps to "Unlink This Device" worked on Firefox, Firefox for Android, and even for SeaMonkey apart from its different layout. Actual results: SeaMonkey does not work with latest Firefox Sync! It's a known bug 1022319, but there's no mention of this bug anywhere. I read up carefully before doing this, and still got screwed. * https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-update-to-the-new-firefox-sync doesn't mention SeaMonkey * http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/sync doesn't say anything about the new version not working. Expected results: Add an unmissable note the top of the SeaMonkey Sync page saying something like "SeaMonkey *does not work* with Firefox Accounts and the latest version of Sync using Firefox Accounts, bug 1022319 ... This page describes its use of the old original Sync protocol which is only supported by earlier Firefox up to version NN.N, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1007033 for workarounds" In the feedback form on the support.mozilla.org "how to update page" I asked that it mention this as well.
