+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1058385 +++ Over in Bug 1058385 we identified there was a RAID controller/HD firmware mismatch and have been unable to find proper firmware to support the combination. in Bug 1050618 we had renewed the warranty for one host (-2) and have had 0 [well now 1, as of today] issue with it going down, I suspect the drive swap fixed it. Can you please purchase a warranty extension for -3, and get HP/our-vendor to identify if there are firmware upgrades available (if so we can likely use the software on all our hosts, as a possible fix), or at least get some remediation, (like a drive swap/etc). This will require a re image like in Bug 1050618 of course... As far as budget for warranty, :mcsmurf of the SeaMonkey team has assured me this will be covered if there is a need.

ive requested a quote with our vendor for your warranty renewal. i'll talk to HP and see if there are any BIOS updates available for the RAID controller or drives but they might just upgrade us to a 500GB drive like last time.

the warranty has been renewed for this host. can you let me know the next time it goes down with the firmware mismatch error so we can get HP support online to review the problem.
