Details

ConnectA2 currently stays active in background keeps the connection alive to check for new messages. If it gets low-memory-killed it gets started in background using the alarm API. To reduce impact on battery, network and to free memory the app should close itself after checking for messages. The alarm API would wake it up in the future to check for more messages. Some users might still want the option for constant connectivity. An additional preference "Background connection" could give the option to switch from the default "Low" (described in this bug) to "Always" (current behavior).
