From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011031
BuildID: 2001103108
Edit->Preferences: Navigator
contains check-boxes for "buttons you want to see in the toolbars"
with options for Bookmarks, Go, Home, Search, and Print.
Un-checking any of these and clicking OK has no effect -
the toolbar still contains the un-checked items. Exiting and
restarting does not fix this (the checkboxes remain unchecked
in preferences, but the toolbar still contains the buttons).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit->Preferences
2. Click Navigator
3. Un-check some toobar items and click OK
Observe that toolbar still contains the un-checked items.

although a different platform, methinks this is caused by the same problem as
bug 97141.
