As a Hello user I want my Hello experience to be intuitive and simple so that I can get the benefits of the rooms features with the convenience of a contact list without 2 distinct flows. Acceptance criteria: * From within a room, a desktop client user can add a contact - add an option from within a room to select a contact to invite - the invitee will receive a "Invited to room notification" - the invitee may have the room added to his list of rooms * From the contact list, a desktop client user can invite a contact to a room (new or existing) - the invitee will receive a "Invited to room notification" - the invitee may have the room added to his list of rooms

must make sure we don't break FxOS as we do it. do we want to be able to pull contacts into rooms. This will impact how we integrate IM & Sharing.

Hi RT, Sevaan asked a for a little more clarification on scenarios needed for the UX.
does integrating direct calling more become less important as we're looking at initiating co-browsing from the "start a room" design and withmulti-party being further out?
or is this the bug where we visual indication of who has a firefox account... so a person knows who they can call directly? or is this asking for a way when a call is established to add the link-clicker that has called you back to your contacts?

We currently have 2 very different UX for direct calling and rooms and this bug is about investigating whether we could rationalize these 2 standalone experiences into one.
The only benefit I see about the direct calling flow is the contact integration and there must be a way to integrate contacts into the room experience to enable the removal of the direct calling flow whilst bringing the convenience of contacts to rooms. I see 2 potential options:
* From within a room, add a contact
- add an option from within a room to select a contact to invite
- the invitee will receive a "Invited to room notification"
- the invitee may have the room added to his list of rooms
* From the contact list, invite a contact to a room (new or existing)
- the invitee will receive a "Invited to room notification"
- the invitee may have the room added to his list of rooms

Sevaan, I mark this as dependent on the visual refresh.
It seems what you have for visual refresh could naturally evolve to this though (makes sense to do the visual refresh first and then this since this bug depends on being registered which is lower priority for now).
