The Creative Commons search plugin no longer works and should probably be removed.
It was spoken about in bug 939804 for Firefox (removed in bug 603298)
Using the search plugin from http://mycroftproject.com/search-engines.html?name=search.creativecommons.org&category=7 does insert the search term into the search field on the website but the comment on the site says:
"Please note that search.creativecommons.org is not a search engine, but rather offers convenient access to search services provided by other independent organizations."

Hum... I think you need to remove "creativecommons" from list.txt, too:
