For the workaround in bug 1082890, I additionally need to force-disable use of gralloc surfaces because they're now tied to the OGL compositor backend. (There was a time when they weren't.) I don't have a problem with that but it does require this force-disable. A pref to force-disable gralloc is also useful for debugging gfx issues, narrowing down sources of bugs.
