1083097 - [Contacts] [Visual Design] Reconsider the position of the cross (or the fields) in contact edit field sets

I have one concern in the current design of the contacts edit screen. We are losing many horizontal space on the left just because of the position of the fields which are right aligned to the cross-icon. The worst case is the birthday field in which the user can see nothing meaningful. 

Other issue is the current position of address fields, which is totally inconsistent. 

My proposal here is to evolve the current design to avoid the waste of space and to rearrange the fields in the address group.

I agree with you, actually we are thinking to make some minor changes on this page as well. We will combine it with the new building block and have some adjustments. I'm working on it these days. It should be able to resolve your concern. Let me know if you have other questions, Thanks!
