When you try "File | Save Page As" on a Google.com search result, either web or groups, the only thing saved is binary junk. Articles on Groups.google.com can't be saved either. The file that is created with "Save Page As" looks like binary junk when you open it with a text editor. This is a problem with both Mozilla and Netscape 6.2, if that makes any difference. It works fine with IE. Mozilla 0.9.5+ Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.5+) Gecko/20011101 I don't know if this bug is related to bug 102376 (crash when viewing Google source, now resolved), but it seems like a different problem. Reproducibility: always. Expected behavior: save a good copy of the file.
The binary junk is the gzip compressed copy of the page. Google uses Content-encoding: gzip. Marking duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 51852 ***
