Details
I was poking around Tableau a bit today and I learned that it has a REST API (http://onlinehelp.tableausoftware.com/v0.0/server/en-us/help.htm#rest_api.htm%3FTocPath%3DREST%2520API|_____0). If Tableau has per version usage data, and it's queryable/parseable through the REST API, we might be able to use it to actually intelligently suggest versions that should get partial updates. I don't think this invalidates anything in bug 1049689, because this is probably a bigger project. We should also consider whether or not it's worthwhile after funsize (bug 770995) is in production.
