I have been noticing this a lot when I rapidly switch between tabs I end up in a state where all tabs are crashed... I hit this naturally over time but it seems easy enough to reproduce by holding down the shortcut to navigate tabs.
I filed something similar (bug 1066647) but that was duped to bug 1041744. If that's still happening (I haven't tried on my machine) then we probably shouldn't dupe this one and investigate.
Do you have a crash report for this, lightsofapollo?

Damn- I submitted it but did not keep track of the number but my nightly on 10-20 the issue is gone (it disappeared the same time we added the new spinner thing to the tabs) marking as WFM
