This is not a regression, something has changed on the yahoo side.

Release Management, do we have any contacts at Yahoo we could reach out to?

I think the answer is yes. cc Karl, who may have a contact from Web compat work, and Chris Lee, who has helped us out with Yahoo! in the past.

Yes.
but not sure what the Loop Client is, and what is the issue.
/me is searching online and find.
https://github.com/mozilla/loop-client
What the loop client does, what is being sent to Yahoo! If you could details the technical issues in the bug that would help I guess.
In the meantime, I will point my contact to this bug.

High level overview of Hello (Loop) http://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2014/10/16/test-the-new-firefox-hello-webrtc-feature-in-firefox-beta/
Comment 0 has the STR but I don't know exactly how Loop interacts with Yahoo!.

When Yahoo Mail is set as Firefox's default email handler, you click the Email button in the Firefox Hello panel, you should be taken to the Yahoo Mail compose page. The message should be pre-populated with a subject line and message body referencing the call URL.
Recently this stopped being the case and Yahoo Mail just gives us a compose page with no message body or subject.

This is not specific to the Hello panel functionality at all, but you should be able to reproduce this with _any_ mailto: link.

I have difficulty to figure out how this is working.
/me is testing.
<a href="mailto:foo@example.org?subject=awesome+email&body=hello+love">send love</a>
Ah! The missing piece for me in the step to reproduce was to understand that Firefox was proposing already something specific for Yahoo!
So the URI is https://compose.mail.yahoo.com/
It means the browser receives
https://login.yahoo.com/m?.intl=us&.src=ym&.done=https%3A%2F%2Fcompose.mail.yahoo.com%2F%3FTo%3Dmailto%253Afoo%2540example.org%253Fsubject%253Dawesome%252Bemail%2526body%253Dhello%252Blove
The compose window opens but the to, the subject and the body are lost in the process.
The URI is a view with an id number which is working if we open in a separate window. but still no body/subject/to.

ok this should help Yahoo!

Now both the title and the body are auto-filled in the title section.
