Steps to reproduce:

Hi Team,

I have installed latest version of Bugzilla 4.5.6 in my system. But when I go the Preferences page I am not able to see "Enable tags for bugs". Could you please help me on this.

All users can add personal tags to bugs. There is no option to disable this at a per user level.

Yes Simon... But I am not able to tags the bugs. When I gone through documentation of Bugzilla they specified that we have to enable "Enable tags for bugs" in "General Preferences". But I have cheeked it not available. Also I have attached screenshot for your reference.

This would be a documentation error then, since this doesn't need to be done. I've read the 4.5 documentation ( http://bugzilla.readthedocs.org/en/latest/using.html#adding-removing-tags-to-from-bugs ) and can find no mention of requiring to change a preference.

Can you let me know what documentation you are referring too?

The documentation you are referring to is from Bugzilla 3.0, which is VERY EOL. You don't need to do this in any of the currently supported branches.

I have checked in this and they also saying the same thing but not able to see the option in General Preferences.

The personal tag code was refactored in Bugzilla 4.4. There is no setting the 'General Preference' anymore, and it should be enabled for all users. This bug is to remove the bad documentation.

Documents files are not updated When we download the latest Bugzilla from "http://www.bugzilla.org/download/". Could you update in it.
