Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. type in a url into URL bar 2. press enter while focused in URL bar 3. Actual Results: URL opens in new tab (maybe leaving an "empty" tab behind) Expected Results: open URL in the same tab (especially if nothing is loaded into that page) the user can always press Ctrl-T and type a URL if it is to be opened in a new tab
Reporter: do you have the "open new tab for ctrl-enter" enabled ? (in prefs -> navigator -> tabbed browser). If you have, then this bug is a dupe of bug 105537
