As a user, I am not required to explicitly download supported content decryption module updates, resulting in the automatic download and installation of said CDM updates in the background so that I can ensure that my browser will decrypt and play back content with the latest version of the CDM at the time of my choosing with minimal to zero wait time.
This is getting handled in bug 1089867.
