Details
the problem I'm seeing in ns6.2 and mozilla is that prefs.js file is not being
rewritten to disk on using the application 'x' close button..[which I use all
the time to close mozilla] but will write to disk on File->Exit.
:reproduceable always..
just click on 'X' close button and see in your profile directory that the
prefs.js is not been modified/rewritten after shutting down all open mozilla
windows.
:expected results:
prefs.js file should be rewrite upon unloading Mozilla/ns6.2 from memory on all
windows being closed clicking on the application 'X' close button

Since you reported bug 109018, I suppose you start mozilla with -P for choosing
a profile.
I believe that what you describe is a side effect of bug 108383 too.
If you start mozilla without the -P and choose you profile in the profile
manager dialog, your prefs will be read on start and written on exit.
Feel free to reopen the bug if you disagree.

ok, I see now that the prefs.js file is writting on 'ok' click from prefs panel.
And doesn't with -P option.
