Steps to reproduce:

It is difficult to find out which version of firefox I am running.
I expected it to be on the "firefox help" page
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct
but it is not.
Even getting to the Firefox help page is hard.

Also the page is full of junk, so it does not even fit into my screen

           I'm sorry I did not understand your reply:-(
Ahha, ok if I go down the help menu to "About firefox" I do indeed get the expected
version information:-)
For completeness, will try and attach screen shot.
