what is a ROLE?
If you're interested in Microsoft Active Accessibility (MSAA), read http://www.mozilla.org/projects/ui/accessibility/vendors-win.html. Or, check out Microsoft's site on the subject www.microsoft.com/enable. They also have their documentation in MSDN. A role is an enumerated value that tells an assistive technology such as a screen reader what something is.
I'm not sure that supporting this is useful, at least in the dialogs I see. I can't find any windows software that supports grid. We'll have to find out if we need it from the assistive tech vendors.

I think it's not a valid bug any more. We have some history of the tables/grid/treegrid support, I have no idea what we could fix here. Closing the bug.
