Steps to reproduce:

The developments to FireFox that allow users to go ahead and tag bookmarks is relatively mature and very good. The problem is once all that hard work has been done by the users, they're stuck trying to sort *all* those tags, in order to reduce their sheer quantity to become more useful. At this point I believe many users become frustrated with both their effort and FireFox because they actually already expect what I am trying to describe now, (even if they don't know it).

'Faceted Tag Clouds' are a GUI item I have seen on many websites for this same purpose for many years already, and users are already familiar with them. In fact I believe their lack of inclusion into FireFox would be viewed as a bug by typical users, and a glaring omission.

Here's an an example of such a GUI tool for use by Drupal websites. This is what web-users are already familiar with for years already:

Also, for users with thousands of bookmarks (and we want those users!), fixing this feature omission allows them finally to cut their quantity down to something useful using *both* folders and tags.



Expected results:

A FireFox extension, with an effective screenshot, making my point clear already exists(!), but has been broken all year. This should make an excellant starting point to add this new feature to the core FireFox, for all users to have, period. Many comments on this module's page support my statement.

As an extension already exists, I'll argue the merits of my Feature Request are akin to the groovy FireFox Developer tools being built when FireBug already existed before.
