ENVIRONMENT:
Device Model: Flame
Version: 2.1 full build on v188
BuildID: 20141101161201

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Download the sample files attached to this bug.
2. Play those two songs.

EXPECTED RESULTS:
The songs should play, displaying the metadata embedded in the files.

ACTUAL RESULTS:
The album art and metadata are not displayed correctly.

Please let me know if there is any other information that may be helpful to investigate and troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks!
Two files with different sizes of album art / metadata:

METADATA_BLOCK_PICTURE=3|image/png||320x320x24|<156249 bytes of image data>
METADATA_BLOCK_PICTURE=3|image/jpeg||320x320x24|<16488 bytes of image data>
Bug 907929 already exists for Ogg Vorbis art support.

Metadata should be fine on master.

We don't really support Opus in Music.
Summary: [Flame v2.1] [Music] - Embedded Album cover + metadata is not displayed in Opus / OGG music files → [Flame v2.1] [Music] - Embedded Album cover + metadata is not displayed in Opus music files
Hi Hubert,

Thank you for this information! I informed the user in the SUMO forums: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1028533

We support Opus just fine, as far as I know (although why you'd bother with Opus for music is beyond me when it's more of a streaming format).

Anyway, I think we should be gently nudging people toward using external album art anyway (we support folder.jpg, cover.jpg, and front.jpg), but I'm biased.

Oh, and the reason the metadata doesn't show up at all is bug 947884.

Opus works great for music, and compresses spoken-word better than ogg or mp3. I use it all the time.

Thanks for tracking down what's going on.
