When replying or posting a new message to the hometheaterforum website a new username/password entry is entered into the Password Manager. After posting more than one message we are presented with a "Select User" dialog, this gets very messy after posting for a while. Looking at the password file it is storing the subject line along with the Username/Password, not correct for this page. I have tested this with 2001110603 on Win98SE and 20011110903 on Win2000+sp2. The same behavior is observed on both systems. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open http://www.hometheaterforum.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi 2. Click the register tab and sign up for a username/password 3. Enter a forum (there is a testing forum at the bottom) 4. Reply or create a new post, enter username/password, click submit 5. Reply or create a second post, username/password is filled in automatically, click submit 6. open Password Manager, two entries for HomeTheaterForum are listed.

Here is my password file after posting three times.
So the heuristic that is used by password manager does not work for message-posting sites. But it does work for many other types of sites. My advice, therefore, is don't use password manager on such sites -- these are not the sites that the heuristic was designed for.

So you are basically saying use IE to view message board sites since it can do this fine?
reopening to dupe properly. this should have been done the first time with one of the existing bugs.
