Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/38.0.2125.111 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
1. Implemented plugin which uses gcli selection field with suggestions: ["hello.hello"]
2. Typed "hell"
Actual results:
First part of hello.hello was highlighted
Expected results:
Suppose I wanna highlight both parts of hello.hello.
I checked sources - ./gcli/ui/menu.js method `getHighlightingProxy` has hard coded highlight logic. Plugin developers doesn't able to customize highlighted part.
Please provide API for customization highlighted part. Check SuggestResult object from Chrome Omnibox - https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/omnibox - description -> match.

Triage. Filter on Lobster Thermidor.
I don't think it's possible to do this cleanly and we don't want to expose too large an API surface, some I'm going to close for now. Please reopen if you can think of a simple way to do this/
