bug 1047613 causes occasional black flashes when populating the results-pane of the awesomebar with unifiedcomplete.
After disabling OMTC, the flashes are gone.
The numbers in the filenames of the attachments indicate the timecode of the black flashes.
I guess when bug 1047613 is fixed, the flashes will be gone too.
I filed this bug just in case there's more to it.
