On IRCCloud, the last network activity status is not cleared and remains in the status overlay. Switching tabs makes it disappear, and it won't automatically come back again, but after a mouseover on a link, it will get stuck again.

In steps:
 - Log in to irccloud
 -> Use it for a while until you notice the status overlay is stuck (in "Transfering data", or "Reading")..

 - Switch to a different tab
 - Switch back to irccloud's tab

 -> Status overlay is gone

 - Mouse over any link on the page to trigger the overlay for the link
 - Mouse out

 -> Status overlay is stuck again with the text from the previous network activity


Unlikely to be specific to IRCCloud, but it's where I've been able to reproduce it consistently.

I think this might have been fixed by bug 1075122, which landed. Can you re-test, Felipe?

I haven't seen this happening since, so it sounds like it was idneed fixed by bug 1075122
