Tried logging in here: https://events.mofostaging.net 

It didn't recognize my email address but picked up my username and sent me an email via that.

Also the first couple times I clicked 'sign in' from the email it took me back to https://events.mofostaging.net showing that I wasn't signed in. My third click it showed I was signed in.

Can you tell me exactly which email & username combo you used? Browser would also be helpful

Sooooo on my current Webmaker account I use [e-mail] and my username is: amira

[e-mail] did not work and let me login. It is the only email address I have associated with my account and only account I have. 

When it sent the email I got it at [e-mail] which is super weird because I don't have a Webmaker account associated with that. 

I use Firefox 34.0

So, one thing to keep in mind is that your accounts on webmaker.org are not linked in any way to webmaker.mofostaging.net

Could you have created an account on staging with your mofo email before?

I think cade's suspicion might be right. Tried to replicate Amira's issue and it's working as expected.
