this is dependant on pierre's gfx/native widget splitting. since
"tristatecheckbox" as we know it now is going away, I should probably mark this
invalid, but...
So for now tristate checkboxes and this test will bitrot. I'll leave this bug
open so I remember to fix it once the new work is done for tristate checkbox.

fixed (was a box problem) and updated for new tri-state checkbox.
