User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 Build ID: 20141115030205 Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to the following HTML5 video under e10s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X089PK8frv0 2. Seek to some seconds before 00:50 3. When the video reaches 00:50 observe the strange behavior - either the audio is cut and then resumes after some seconds or it skips some seconds. Actual results: The audio cut loose or skipped forward. Expected results: The audio should've played sequentially.
Also happens on this HTML5 video on the 1:20
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qi02YHhKT7o Sorry, this is the video I was referring to in the last comment.
I have the same problem. And on most youtube videos, sound stops and then plays from few seconds before, when I seek forward it adjusts itself and after a while it starts to play again some chunk from few seconds before. It's really annoying!
I'm seeing the same thing on Nightly builds win32 non-e10s builds as well. Video will stop, and get the loading circle. Dragging the time-slider to the right will resume video. Audio then will start repeating previous sound bytes, sometimes 2-3 times, like the audio is totally out of sync with video at that point. No work-around discovered yet to prevent the audio repeats. Tested on win7 x64 win32 m-c tinderbox/Nightly builds.
(In reply to Jim Jeffery not reading bug-mail 1/2/11 from comment #4) > I'm seeing the same thing on Nightly builds win32 non-e10s builds as well. > > Video will stop, and get the loading circle. > Dragging the time-slider to the right will resume video. > Audio then will start repeating previous sound bytes, sometimes 2-3 times, > like the audio is totally out of sync with video at that point. > > No work-around discovered yet to prevent the audio repeats. > > Tested on win7 x64 win32 m-c tinderbox/Nightly builds. This bug is not about the "loading circle", and I am seeing this only while being on e10s, so it sounds like a different bug.

I recall seeing this behavior when it was reported but I haven't seen it in a while. I can't seem to reproduce it now and the videos mentioned in this bug are all removed (so I cant exactly follow the steps). Mikel, have you seen this recently? If so, can you give new steps/links?

David, I haven't seen this bug for a fair amount of time. I'm not sure if the issue is resolved.

Thanks, Mikel.
