with build 2001112104 win32 this seems quite fast. As fast as WinIE5. CPU usage is about the same.
then again when I load it a second time it became really really slow. I now have one tab that works real fast and another that works real slow. I've tried reloading and it is still really slow. I've tried restarting mozilla and is still real slow. When I shift reload it it is fast again.

Though testing with build 2002021803 (with patch for bug 117061) the animation still has the "breaks" that were caused by this regression.
Very slow navigation, tab switching and scrolling with mozilla, seamonkey and firefox on linux Mandriva, a bit faster on Debian
