Split out from bug 1074700: - When the room gets activity reset the timer - Definition of activity: 2) share the room URL 3) copied the room URL (item 1 is bug 1100556) To do this, we likely need to be able to do an empty PUT, which the server will need to support.
RT -- The server is going to update the Room expiry when users join the Room. We will implement this bug (to update Room expiry on sharing the URL or copying the URL) in a later release. The earliest we can do so (realistically) is Fx37. So I've sent it for Fx37? triage.

Given that the room expiration is extended anytime someone enters the room or changes the context, this shouldn't be an issue.
