I downloaded the Java Plug-In and installed it

but the browser tells me that the Java Plug In is not installed

¿what can I do?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. goto http://www.java.sun.com, it contains several applets and apperars a
message "click here to download the plug-in"
2. click there and download and install the plug-in
3. restart your browser or your PC and go back to http://www.java.sun.com, cou
can see the same message: "click here to download the plug-in"
4. an alternative to make the installation "online", you can download the Java
Plug-In via ftp and install it (in windows 9x is an executable file: execute it)
the results are the same

Actual Results:  when you go to http://www.java.sun.com, apperars a message:
"click here to download the plug-in"

Expected Results:  It should appear the applets

If Java doesn't work, make sure the following is true:
On Windows:
Copy the NPOJI600.DLL from C:\JDK*\jre\bin to "\plugins" directory of your
installation.

Resolution: --- → DUPLICATE
I got the solution,

1. go to the C:\JDK*\jre\bin directory and copy all files to the "\plugins"
directory
2. If it doen't work you can copy C:\JDK*\jre\lib\*.* to "\plugins" directory too

I did these two steps in a single and it worked

It would be a good idea explain this in the mozilla.org main page

I'll probe it in Linux
