Using Firefox 36.0.0.5435 (2014-11-18) even with both Speech Recognition and Speech Synthesis enabled in about:config.

Result: Not recognized. See attachment for mine.

That demo page relies on "webkitSpeechRecognition", which is going to not be helpful in making it work...
