User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0
Build ID: 20141120192249
Steps to reproduce:
1.Browsing tumblr with youtube tabs open but no playing video
Load video, notice lack of audio
Restart Firefox
Trying to load any video now causes firefox to freeze, then i get the stop/continue dialog box
[18:41:27] <clonk2u> having some weird issues with flash, sound dies, then restarting firefox causes flash to crash when loading videos, but works fine on webpages like tumblr, as long as no videos are loaded
[18:42:18] <clonk2u> ending processes and restarting does not work, turning off protected mode on flash does not work
[18:42:33] <clonk2u> turning on ask to enable does not work
[18:42:48] <clonk2u> reinstalling flash does not work
[18:43:04] <clonk2u> running W7-64B(windows 7-64bit)
[18:44:20] <joch> clonk2u: have you tried disabling flash's hardware acceleration?
[18:44:58] <clonk2u> joch: already disabled, due to another issue with flash, where hardware acceleration causes colors to vastly drop in quality
[18:45:37] <joch> and what about the hardware acceleration in firefox?
[18:45:57] <clonk2u> joch: no clue, is that in the about:config?
[18:46:10] <joch> it's in the options
[18:46:30] <joch> options -> advanced -> general
[18:46:57] <clonk2u> joch: i see it, just unchecked
[18:47:18] <clonk2u> joch: no dice
[18:47:24] <joch> hmm
[18:47:32] <joch> what about extensions
[18:47:41] <joch> tested with all disabled?
[18:48:01] <clonk2u> joch: yeah, redoing now
[18:48:36] <clonk2u> joch: disabling my extension did not help
[18:48:48] <joch> is flash up to date?
[18:49:07] <clonk2u> joch: yep
[18:50:23] <clonk2u> joch: flash has to processes when this happenes, one at around 4000k and the other between 40,000k and 70,000k mem use sometimes firefox will also create a second process when this is happening that sits at around 3,000 k mem
[18:50:53] <joch> odd
[18:51:02] <joch> Tested with a fresh profile?
[18:51:25] <clonk2u> joch: profile?
[18:51:52] <joch> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
[18:53:10] <joch> You may want to file a bug
[18:53:28] <clonk2u> joch: profile independent
[18:54:06] <joch> probably
[18:54:38] <joch> when you close firefox, do any flash container processes linger?
[18:55:03] <clonk2u> joch: when i crash firefox by ending process, yes till restart, otherwise no
Also, firefox beta 11
Actual results:
Browsing tumblr with youtube tabs open but no playing video
Load video, notice lack of audio
Restart Firefox
Trying to load any video now causes firefox to freeze, then i get the stop/continue dialog box

Hello Reporter, Thanks for reporting this issue and sorry for getting back to you so late.
Several similar issues were reported. Our developers figured out that the problem was with the beta version of Adobe Shockwave flash plugin. This was fixed when Flash Player 20.0.0.238 was pushed. Please refer to bug # 1227221 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1227221) for more information on problem and resolution.
I tried duplicating this issue on the latest released version of flash player Shockwave Flash 20.0.0.267 with the latest released version of firefox but couldn't reproduce it. We would like you to upgrade your Flash player plugin and firefox to the latest released version, if you haven't done so and try again. I am changing the status to resolved. You can reopen it if you encounter this issue again.
