Neither using local files, nor downloaded files, nor using different "bits"-parameter works.
Trying without --persist doesn't work either.

I wonder if maybe you need to upgrade your copy of mozrunner. Could you try:
pip install -U mozrunner==6.5
If that fixes the problem we can spin a new version of mozregression which explicitly requires a later version of mozrunner.

Ok, I released a new version of mozregression with the required version of mozrunner bumped.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → RESOLVED
