Steps to reproduce:

There is no way to ignore ssl errors in xulrunner app. For example there is no way to allow self signed certificates, without adding them to cert_override.txt. cert_override.txt usually is sufficient, but there are cases for which is not. When I'm doing automation testing of the our customers sites I am not able to explicitly add every self signed certs. 
I know if you add API for that will cause security issues with browser extensions and I think it should be available only for xulrunner apps. Is it possible?
