User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0
Build ID: 20141126041045

Steps to reproduce:

I usually use Firefox Beta for my daily work. Curious on the new Polaris feature, I downloaded Nightly, install it, run it (with Beta not running, as they can't be running concurrently) and change about:config there to enable Polaris.

Actual results:

After some time, I revert back to my Beta (with Nightly still installed, only not running) and found out that I the Polaris feature is enabled on Firefox Beta, and I can find "browser.polaris.enabled" string on about:config.

Expected results:

The support page for Polaris <https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tracking-protection-firefox> states that: "it will remain in Nightly indefinitely. There are no plans to have it “ride the trains” at this time."

Hence, I shouldn't be able to use Polaris even at Beta.

There are no plans to have it ride the trains means there are no plans to flip the flag. You flipped it manually so you get the feature. If you don't want that to happen use separate profiles (which is the recommended way to do things anyway).
